I guess this is another symbolic gesture. You are right, it could have been accommodated in a truck I guess. The total value of this coal would be 60-70,000usd only... even a truck would have done the job

CPEC gives us the most essential basic infrastructure needed for economic development..

A Port - so raw materials, machinery and finished goods can be imported / exported
Electricity - so factories can be powered
Transport - so goods, machinery, raw materials, workers can be moved.

if we fail to make good use of these facilities in the current generation..there will be no hope left ever for Pakistan survival!

The power issue will improve local Industrial output by 1000%-5000%

Various strategic companies , don't consider moving an office / industry to your country if your power situation is not resolved

Luckily with help of Chinese , vision and the work done by our Government / Military , the problem we faced in acute shortages in power would be resolved for next 50 years

• With abundance of power , Pakistan might even see the introduction of 3 shift work

As you may know , traditionally many places of Industry , close down after regular 9-5, due to various power saving initiatives introduced in past by various government. Surplus power means businesses can run 3 shifts (Employ more people)


The port , the transport infrastructure and various economic Industrial centers

This is testing phase and we use train because we may required an estimated 4.48 million tons annually for the plant phase one and for second phase we will install another 1000 megawatt two plants. So base on current requirement and future please calculate how many truck we required and what about traffic jams and road maintenance? please add those two and tell me are we smart or fool to invest on rail?. Also note that main source of coal is Indonesia

Its 22 tons x 18 containers = 396 tons

Its meant to be for testing purpose as the plant is scheduled to be operational in 4-5 months I believe... so they may have wanted to see if the train service will not disrupt their plans

each of the beast can carry upto : 40 tons !! 10 Nos will be sufficient !!
