its actually a mixture of air to air - air to ground ... but not specifically designer for air to air but more like a air to ground attack aircraft so yes its jack of all trades...

another definition: The shortened version "a jack of all trades" is often a compliment for a person who is good at fixing things, and has a very good broad knowledge.

I do know that it is made for multiple tasks, but i wouldn't call it a jack of all trade cause it's a multirole fighter and that in itself is a trade nowadays, i am just saying that i wouldn't take it as a compliment if anyone called me a jack of all trades.

F-35 is really good in various roles, and some of its features do not exist in other aircraft and/or at par.

F-35 flew an amazing display on the practice day. USAF Thunderbirds were a delight to watch.....despite the cloud base being low where they had to opt for the rolling display instead of the full display...
