This video tells the real story of how upgrading is done, note it's not a just dumb bomb drop like seen it's a complete software upgrade to actually calculate the accuracy before drop. The GPS/ INS system has to be fed data before the drop for target at a distance, the Air shifts must have also be calculated during approach, and then look at the width of target just 5-10 sq ft and got hit from May be approx 60km beyond. Perfect hit.

The only answer is they are slowly becoming nearer to its potential. A program well planned and protected and implemented

These cheap to make bombs can burn enemy's missile defence system's petty fast. I just want their range be increased to 120km so they could release it at a safer distance. May be higher altitude would do the job.

No doubt more service ceiling will bring more range, but I think Rek has also some height limitation for range.
One more thing we all want to see is the thunders Air to air refuelling video, I hope to see it soon.

Per PAF history focus of JF-17 was more on indigenous Avionics (target 80 % license build + indigenous ) as over life time avionics need to be replace at least once during life time of a/c 25-30 years life

Initial target was 3 million for rd93 + 4 Million for air-frame and 3 million for Avionics, total 10 million per plan (90s) but it got delayed due to western sanctions from 90s to 2003 /4 (first flight with avionics PT4) and and cost I guess went up

Now focus on on avionics, new weapon integration, and Air-frame ToT (58%), achieved with blk 2 by including vertical tail
