care to cite how u came to that info about tejas? No it won't
The deficiencies of the plane, high maintenance costs, poor performance have killed the project a long time ago
Its a political project now
care to cite how u came to that info about tejas?
show me one official statement from air force regarding this, not those paid pieces in media.Your own military
Commission culture?India future 5th Gen fighter will be a version of F35 and India will get it after F16. Things of concern for India is nothing but missed timelines.
India is actually ahead of Pakistan in R&D but will always remain behind because of commission culture which won't let any India specific product to become successful.
Just my thought.
India has no choice but to induct Tejas now regardless of it beimng a decade too late. too slow production rate and too small in size even for a single engine fighter.
But AMCA ie 5th generation will onmly arrive IF indian mass produces Tejas
Do you expect India to build a stealth fighter without assistance? You will be waiting forever.
India just have no ability to build a modern fighter. The LCA fiasco is a testament to that. India should focus of purchase weapons proper. And forget about TOT as No one wants to part with its latest tech. Plus India has no ability to absorb advance tech. In another word, even if US provide the f-35 blue print to India. It would be useless to India. It’s like teaching a kindergartener calculus when he barely can add.
No it won't

Indian policy is in tatters
1)Rafale is a good deal especially with METEOR missiles, investment the private sector. But also quite costly,i am not sure with 6% growth and almost negative defence budget vs last year this was a good move....but fine,at least product is good.
2)PAKFA is must,we simply have 0 alternative. It has already flown with the item 30 engine and will probably take another 2-3 years for full testing. The problem is our mentality of trying to squeeze from everyone.Stop the nitpicking, the options russians are giving are not given by anyone else.
FGFA is a waste of time....just get the pakfa(su-57) and modify the internals like in case of mki if need be.We have no money for our own tailor made jet,,,,dont believe me??Go and see the budget this year.
3)Focus on tejas....leave the amca out for a decade at least, its better to buy planes directly like rafale and su-57 than trying to buy 3-4 different types and making 2 different planes at the same time.We neither possess the technology, nor the money for such an endeavour.Thats the reason we acquire nothing,we demand too much and dont have the money to buy it.
So at the moment just sign pakfa/su-57 agreement, focus on rafales(maybe increase the order in years to come) and focus on lca mk-2 and 1a.Dump the AMCA....its required all right but at the moment we have no money to consider it.If we continue,it will end up getting delayed like tejas.
Good against?
Didnt knew that you flew both J20 and rafale to come to this conclusion. Good job.Apart from stealth...yeah and by a big margin.
I am not talking of those things which "look good on paper". All weapon systems are mix weapon systems. Even US technology is copied from German engineers of WWII. There are no "intellectual copy rights" in war. Indian defence technology is not fieldable. Anything which is not fieldable is garbage.Wrong term
Pakistan import less weapons but india is way ahead in R&D while pakis
Does best to look for mix solution
Example is pakistan will built a mix weapon like alkhalid tank built and reduce import bill but india will go and acquire the t90, tejas etc are other example. Tejas is equal or bettter aircarft on paper from thunder but still will not make it to the IAF due to inefficiencies
agreed. Indian Navy has already rejected it, IAF is being forced to accept it due to political reasons, IAF has told on record they are not happy with Tejas. Hunt for single/dual engine fighters from EU/US/Russia is on. Tejas has proved to be a total disaster for India. No it won't

I can prove it, read the report of your own navy. I hope Indian Navy doesnt lie, does it?can you prove your points ? or just empty blabbering ?
Only soln is to get 50-60 5th gen jets. Take Russian or american.
AMCA is 10 yrs away from being atleast its first flight if we see the standard of HAL or give this project to pvt company like TATA.
