What's new

Federal government has failed to add a single MW of electricity in 2 years

Nandipur 450 mwtts is already added up , Terbella 4 is earthbreaked and contracted to sino hydro will produce in 2017 1400 mwts, Different dormat capacity 1500 mwts will be utilized in april , may due to the better availability of gas as the LNG will be available along with our own natural gas .

Nice joke. Not a single MW has been added in the system.

@Qalandari How many MW did PPP added ???

Ongoing Power Projects
Neelum Jehlum
Nandipur
Quaid e Azam Solar power Plant in Bahawalpur
Tarbela extension 4
2 Nuclear Reactors in Karachi (1100 MW each)
Coal power Power projects in port Qasim sahiwal Gaddani (waiting to be inaugurated by Chinese President)
Dasu Dam

How many projects did PPP started and completed...

So not a single megawatt of electricity added in the last 2 years whereas PPP added more than 3000 megawatts in 5 years. Anyways some of the above ongoing projects were already ongoing in PPP's era.

Neelum-Jhelum project
After being approved in 1989 (PPP government), the design was improved, increasing the tunnel length and generation capacity. The project was intended to begin in 2002 and be completed in 2008 but this time-frame experienced significant delays to rising costs and funding. At its appraisal in 1989, it was to cost $167 million USD (2011) and after another redesign in 2005, that cost rose to $935 million USD (2011).

Nandipur
In January 2008, Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) signed a Rs. 23 billion ($329 million) contract with Dong Fang Electric Corporation of China to construct the Nandipur Power Project and paid it a 10 per cent down payment. Ongoing during PPP era.

The project was a initiative of PPP's government. Obviously in the 90s decade PPP government was forcibly removed twice. Neelum -Jhelum construction continued during 2008-2013.

Neelam dam is yet to be completed. Nandi pur has been failure so far. PPP failed in 5 years to add single MW, yet you expect N to add 10000?

And I have not counted them in the megawatts which were added during the last government.
