Karachi: Former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal and Anis Qaimkhani, dissident leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, on their arrival in Karachi from Dubai, were driven home from the airport in party leader Faisal Subzwari’s car – an indication that he too might jump the party’s ship in the coming days.

Sources told The News that Kamal and Qaimkhani were driven to DHA in Subzwari’s car which was driven by their common friend.

Kamal too had told the media that they had arrived at their residence in their ‘friend’s’ car. Kamal and Subzwari had also attended a convention in Lahore in January this year.

Wasim Aftab (Ex Rabbita Committee member and EX KTC in charge), and 90's sitting MPA joined Mustafa Kamal...

He has been absent from MQM since long time.. There is high chance he might join Mustafa Kamal soon.

I will also not be surprised if Haider Abbas Rizvi also joins Mustafa Kamal

I think MQM leadership would be really busy trying to get together with its old but laid off members who has been out of the scene since past few months

I sincerely hope that Faisal Subzwari joins MK. He seems like such a nice and humble fellow, and I love the way he speaks.

There is a news published on Geo which says he has rejected these reports and not joining Kamal

.
It seems he rejected this news but you never know. I am sure negotiations are going behind the scenes and if reached a settlement he may leave. However for some time he is not leaving it seems.

I don't know if his membership was restored after he was forced to resign last year, if not there is high chance that he might be taken amongst the loyalists again and his stature raised among the MQM leadership

But the bad language of Altaf Bhai can strip him off any time, he already knows it so it will be interesting to see his next step in near future

Yes it will be very interesting to watch the progress of kamals party and how MQM leadership reacts to it. We will see aggressive actions from Jamal ( aggressive in the sense that he would do everything in his power to create a strong party) to stand tall in the 2018 elections...

All the big names of MQM will join, but not now. They will see where things heading to for sometimes and then will jump into this new party.

The problem with mafias is that when their slippery slide starts, there is no stopping. AH's being irrelevant is not a question of if but when. This is actually a fight for the control between London Rabita committee and their cronies here. Eventually power has to transfer back to Pakistan as it will become increasingly difficult to run party from london. I think Mustafa Kamals party has time and circumstances on his side.
