This source is about 5 years late, it was posted today but they show a video of a remote controlled F-16 from 2013.

That was experimented long ago yara and at that time they were not satisfied with F-16 performance as unmanned jet. I didn't follow up later though.

May be they have tested this earlier too but yesterday they achieve some other goals.

Yes, the 1st flight shown is old but the program is on-going.

The defects were manufacture issues since corrected.

The QF_16 follows QF-4s [ Phantom II ] retired in December 2016.

It serves mostly at Holloman and Tyndall AFBs although trials
are performed as far as Japan.

The unit in charge of aerial targets is the 82nd ATRS / 53rd WEG.

There are over 20 QF-16s made or in service.
