Its not peoples health that I am commenting about. Most countries are trialing and will most likely soon issue something similar to vaccine passport . That will determine permission to enter a country and travel. As far as I understand. Vaccine passports don't consider herd immunity and the international community is well aware of which countries are vaccinated and by how much %.Vaccines are not the only way to gain "herd immunity".
In the UK, in the largest and longest study done to date of nearly 10 months between initial infection and any subsequent infection, it was found that having the virus before reduced the chances of reinfection by 90%.
BD can gain "herd immunity" by vaccinating its most vulnerable 20% who will account for 90% of hospitalisations and 99% of deaths and by natual immunity from prior infection.
So this means If say person A is not vaccinated, BD govt cannot issue a vaccine passport for travel. If enough people are not vaccinated , no travel to other countries therefore economy cannot be opened.... properly.
