The Special Operations Group (SOG) officials arrested a former Bangladeshi armyman from the Bhuj railway station on Friday who was reportedly found in suspicious condition. The man has been identified as Shamim-ul- Amin Abbas Alikhan (36) of Daulatpur in Bangladesh.

The SOG officials said Shamim was discharged from the Bangladeshi Army in 2008. After that he reportedly got into fishing business, police said. According to police, Shamim is expert in handling modern arms of defence forces and he might be in the state for arms transaction. However, the police has not found any suspicious material or document from him. The suspect has been sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre in Bhuj for further interrogation.

It is indeed a RAW inspired and a raw Indian conspiracy without essence. That person is a civilian now and his army connection has nothing to do with his India visit. Embassy of India must have given him visa after knowing all his past. GoI should release the victim of Indian conspiracy as soon as possible.

Lakh Lanat :woot:

Chawk dey India..............

Please donot create any conspiracy theory....If that guy has come with visa...then leave him to whereever he is from with due respect...
If not ...simple...put him in some case...and use him to double cross ISI in BD.....:yahoo:

Man probably went to india to smuggle goods to bangladesh using his army connections in bangladesh but failed to pay the bsf so he got arrested.

He said to be involved in fishing business. May be he refused to import indian fish and was arrested after that. Must be a big durga puja gift for indians and media to talk about!

So why was he sent to jail if nothing harmful was found? India is not safe nation to travel. Its hostile nation for foreigner.

India is dangerous for terrorists and foreign agents and illegal bangladeshis. Better stay out!

He was being trailed by Special Op Group, they don't trail and then arrest people without any reason. His family might as well read the janaza prayers for him, cause he isn't going back.

Your 6000 BDR men are in jail for horrible crimes against your army officers, and you are calling Indian security agencies doing their duties jokers? I get it.

@ topic - what is the real deal here, was he illegally here, or legally and doing something else illegal? Why would he go to Bhuj of all places, its nowhere near BD. In any case he has been detained not arrested and charged, so we should not speculate until more info comes out.
