While around the world forests are shrinking due to climate change, deforestation and urban developpments, the trend has reversed in Europe. Forests are expending each years, between 1990 and 2015 for exemple the area covered by woodland in Europe (excluding Russia) increased by 90,000 km²,roughly the size of Portugal.
In France for exemple, there's more forests now than there was during medieval times, and still expending each years, following the same trend in Europe.
