Ethnic Tajik teens during the school snack break in Xinjiang

Xinjiang provides 15 years free education from kindergarten to high school, schools also provide free school meals and dairy, school kids need more nourishment to grow well, so schools also have snack breaks and students can eat some snacks (mostly bread, eggs and milk) provided by the government.

Those are ethnic Tajik teens enjoy their break and snacks in school.

Where are the hijabs?

OK, different countries follow different laws, we don't impose you to do the same in your country.

Most East Asian countries and regions follow the similar school dress code, in Japan, North and South Korea, Taiwan they also wear school uniforms, no so much in western countries like US and Europe.

You can say East Asian countries are a shame in doing so, but that's our thing, maybe some part of your codes are not agreeable in other peoples eyes, but we don't call it a shame.

Where are the hijabs?
And also, hijab was never part of Uighur culture and costumes, it's a new thing coming from the middle east in recent decades.

This photo was taken in a school in Xinjiang in1943, before PRC time, do you see any students wear hijabs?

Tajik kids in Xinjiang Pamir want to visit Beijing
In deep Pamir mountains those Tajik kids learned about the country's capital, Beijing, from their teachers and parents and they were told they just follow those beautiful modern highways and they can get to Beijing. when being asked what they want to be after they grow up, some say lawyer, some say scientist, some say dancer..

Tajik ethnic minorities has more link to Persian. They are very loyal to PRC.
So they should be.
All Muslims should live as loyal, peaceful, productive citizens of any country they happen to be citizens of.
In return, they should be allowed to practice their religion in peace.

Ethnic Tajik kids in Xinjiang Pamir region sing to celebrate 70th Chinese National Day

.
In the surrounding of very barren lifeless landscape suddenly springs up a modern primary school with top notch teaching buildings and sports facilities, the contrast is just otherworldly.

Footage of transformation of a Tajik village teacher and his family from 1990's in Xinjiang Pamir

Rare footage shows the transformation of a Tajik village teacher and his family from 1990's to the present in Xinjiang Pamir plateau in China. He was the only teacher who had to cross rivers and climb mountains to get to his students to teach those village kids some basic knowledge, his hardwork was filmed by Chinese TV in 1990's.

Now , he became a grandpa and the region and life here had changed beyond immaginition, his small village hidden in the middle of Pamir mountains now has Kingdergartens so his granddaughter can be taken good care and taught well by the government, and his grandson goes to the county to get better education.

After finishing primary school, his grandson will go to study in Shenzhen-Tashkurgan middle school, a brand new over 20 million USD$ middle school built by Shenzhen city in Xinjiang ( China has a policy that developed regions being paired up with underdeveloped regions and development goals are set by the central government, developed regions must fulfill those goals in underdeveloped regions by timelines they negotiated with the central government)

He just witnessed the miraculous change of the region and his family's life right in front of his eyes over the past 30 years.

Like Hui Muslims and Tajiks, they are very patriotic and never want to separate from China, never go for terrorism.
