But if you talk about Russia, then Pakistan needs to stay neutral. We can NOT afford to mess with Russia and Pakistan's relation with it. We need to check on our priorities. Pakistan should be top priority before anything else.

What we have always been told here in Turkey by media and officials is that Pakistan is/was one of our best friends in the world. So, we think/believe it is. And a friend must always back his friend not only when things go smooth but also when got in trouble. This is what our culture say us.

Russia violated our airspace more than once , and got punished for. This simple.

Rusia may have more military gears than us. But they dont have the brave hearth which Turkish soldiers have. This comes from not a young keyboard warrior but from some one who spent long time in Turkish Army. I dont think the world witnessed such a great brave soldiers ever. I dont think there is a soldier on earth other than Turkish who goes to war like going to a wedding. I saw it by my own eyes, i am the witness.

In case of war with Russia.. If Turkiye asks for aid.. You can bet your arse -- Pakistan will respond .. Heck you will even see civilian volunteers !

Even during World War.. Troops from Pak revolted when they were ordered to fight the Ottomans.

Pakistan and Turkey are both brother Islamic countries and we all share quite a lot of commonalities in culture, food and language but many people are in both countries are not aware of that. Thus there is lot of room for cooperation between the govt but even more importantly between the people through cultural and educational exchange programs on the model of european erasmus exchange program. Both countries can work together in fields science technology, military/defence production, health and industrial production through joint-ventures. We also hope the relations are used for peace and progress and refrain getting involved in wars against other muslim countries.

Turkey is a friend. Russia is all international politics. Russians don't love Pakistan, they just need Pakistan on their side because they are getting isolated in the world. When shit hits the fans, you will have people standing with you that cares about you genuinely. Turks and Pakistan share history, Religion, and many Pakistanis even their heritage, since Turko-mongol rulers of sub-continent Mughals and his father Timur was from same Central Asia where ottomans Turks originated from.

Russia and China would never trust Pakistan.Both of these states hate muslims.
chinese alliance with Pak is only aimed to contain India. As India learns to engage with China, Pak would have to return into Muslim/Arab/Turkey & american camp.

Whilst it is important maintain ties with Turkey.(Even though she is a NATO member). Pakistan would be utterly foolish to sacrifice any possible relationship with Russia for Turkey.

And IMHO what Turkey did to the Russian jet was absolutely foolish even if it was legal.

The only support Pakistan should give is to stay quite and nuetral ( and believe me thats a big support when we are talking about confrontration with Russia).
The max would be to make a plea to Russia on Turkey's behalf and ask for forgiveness!

Just wanna let you know in Turkey whenever subject is Pakistan no one gives a damn about alliances, foreign policy or interests or any of that kind of bullshit they will go all the way for Pakistan, Turkeys friendship is not fake like other countries it is precious and really strong
