They banned abortion a few years ago. Now,they begin to say stupid stuff.... If they really want the fertility rate to go up, state should support mothers. Saying stupid stuff won't effect the rate.

Islam encourages couples to have as many kids as possible because this is the command issued by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when he said, “Marry the one who is loving and fertile, for I will be proud of your great numbers.”

Without compelling medical reasons , birth control methods should NOT be used according to scholars. Also using birth control due materialistic motives is totally prohibited. Sustenance comes from Allah (swt) alone.

Numbers give strength. Imagine muslims outnumbering non-muslims in europe. Non-muslims already have a falling brith rate due to their twisted social norms but muslims have a healthy brith rate. Europeans are already cringing in fear of muslim population boom. Look at the demographic balance of Israel and palestine. Israel is dead worried about the huge palestanian population and a possible 1 state solution. A lot of strength lies with numbers. The chinese are now whining about the disastrous effect of one-child policy while the japanese have completely lost it.

Wait what? dude population is a really big problem of muslim country's just look at it nearly in every muslim family there are 6-8 kids this creates a burden not only on the head of the family but on the country too and most of the muslim country's are not rich enough to feed so many mouths take us as an example our population is increasing at an alarming rate we're not taking it serious in the next 10-20 years you can't imagine the problems our country will face if we don't control our population we need a population control from where did the west came in this? this is simple logic i guess :/ @Jungibaaz @django @Zibago guys your input?

I saw the headlines yesterday and sort of was surprised so I did some background reading. Erdogan might just be talking sense. The reason is Turkish population is still low compared to countries size and resources. The economy is doing well and aging population could have arresting effect on future trajectory. Given this slight increase for few more decades might make economic sense or negative increase might hit Turkey too early into the economic development horizon like Japan.

Family planning is not allowed in Islam. That is crystal clear only gap between children could be done due to health reasons other than that sorry for fear of poverty or lack of sources you are just challenging ALLAH. He can reduce your sources even with smaller population their is no guarantee.
