Actually you're the one taking things at face value. If there was truly a state conspiracy to let him free then the General Prosecutor wouldn't have appealed the Criminal Courts decision to acquit Mubarak and the court of Cessation wouldn't have ordered a retrial.
It's all for show, nothing more. MB's leader has already been sentenced to death based on trumped up charges. If I was taking things at face value, I'd believe this trial were completely fair, and not skewed in favor of one side.
Just because he's insignificant, doesn't mean he shouldn't face justice (which he won't). The rest of the world might not care, but Egyptians should.Whether he is confined to his home, in a hospital, or in prison makes no real difference, he is still confined and unable to return to political life. He has become so insignificant that international media didn't even bother report that hes been put back on trial.
