Entire Sukhoi-30MKI fleet to arrive by 2019

I am not able to understand why we can not make some parts, what is need of technology transfer for such parts?

We are already producing parts of LCA and it is possible that they are not economically give benefit.

Moreover it could be possible to make parts by private companies, but probably HAL did not try for that.

2019 is far away and we need to speed up in getting new fighters with advance tech.

We can make them, but demand is not enough to justify opening up a new line. Thus no company will do it.Product would have to be intl standard and exportable or govt subsidized to keep the line up and running,as local demand is not enough.

It won't.

Check out the differences between mki and su-35 and btw no one even knows what modernized flanker will have.

It will have a new engine this one

IAF has stated MKI engines need service life extension. This upgrade will bring TVC to SU 35BM levels. AESA maybe a strap on module by some Russian company. P K Sengupta had written an article on it.

TRISHUL: Super Su-30MKI: From Air Dominance To Air Supremacy

Sardarji do some research. PKS is usually correct about this.

Bhai pks pe vishwas nai hai mujhe,i had read this article long back too.

The aesa upgrade would be offered by tikhomirov niip only that makes bars pesa of mki.
Point is which radar it would be?

My gut feeling is n036 of pakfa but then they may just change the plates without changing the processor and stuff.
However bars has peak power of around only 8 kw and an aesa(if only plates are changed) of this power is pretty weak compared to competing western models.
So it will involve the processor change too, thats why I am saying it may incorporate pakfa aesa as the size fits and russia has no other aesa.
Well they are developing phazotron niir's zhuk-ae but it traditionally equips mig planes so would be used for mig-29k modernisation only.

Regarding engines russia has only two other engines apart from al-31f of mki

1)product 117s of npo saturn that powers su-35

2)preliminary engine of pakfa that powers the 1 st phase pakfa which russia will induct.
Its a modernised 117 s according to russians but its not present on npo saturn website

So only these two options are there

Engine which I have posted is one to be used for upgrade as it has higher service lifetime. That is the modernised variant.

My guess hybrid AESA module with PESA processor. Better than N035 PESA radar.
