As the news of encounter spread , locals in huge number have started to move towards the encounter site, at Awoora Pahalgam from the adjacent vuillages.

Locals have started to protest in an attempt to help militants to flee from the area, with the result clashes erupted in the area near the encounter site

Scribes at the spot informed Kashmir Life that, people from adjoining villages have begun marching towards the spot. To quell the protesters, police has resorted to tear gas shelling

Pertinent to mention that Sunday evening few gun shots were heard in the Awoora after which joint contingent of Police and Army cordoned the area and gun battle started.

Police sources say that there may be 2-3 militants present in the area

They stopped for a while, then they robbed some banks, asked tourists to come and pay to the traders who in turn paid some thing to them and when they were well fed again, the mischief started again.
