. . . . . . . . . .
Irrelevant
Until the 'Viper Upgrade', Viper was not even an official designation for the F16
I don't think your right, they were designated Fighting Falcon and with a block number not Viper hence why when Bahrain bought their new variant they changed the designation. He is talking about the formal name given by the air force not the informal name. Just call them Fighting Falcons please so no one gets confused.

Here you go, At the 2012 Singapore Air Show Lockheed Martin unveiled plans for the new F-16V variant with the V suffix for its Viper nickname. It is to feature an AN/APG-83 active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, a new mission computer and electronic warfare suite, automated ground collision avoidance system, and various cockpit improvements; this package is an option on current production F-16s and can be retrofitted to most in service F-16s.[178][179] First flight took place 21 October 2015.[180] Upgrades to Republic of China(Taiwan)'s F-16 fleet began in January 2017.[181] The first country to confirm the purchase of 16 new F-16V Block 70/72 was Bahrain.[182][183] Slovakia announced on 11 July 2018 that it intends to purchase 14 F-16 Block 70/72 aircraft.[184][185]

I said it was the unofficial designation. The Viper name is taken from the Viper fighter in 80s TV series Battlestar Galactica.

You know why it was called the 'Fighting Falcon' and not the 'Falcon' because that name was taken by the French business jet series

You study this way too much, as I said before go with the official designation man. Do we call AH-64 Apaches something else? No we don't, your a forum dweller not a pilot or air crew go with the norms.

Did you even read what you posted? The Viper' name was used for the F16s by it's pilots since it's earliest blocks. With the Viper upgrade the name became official
For the upgraded planes, 99% of F-16s are not V variant with only like 200 being upgraded. I'm going with the majority not the slim, slim majority. Hence, why Wikipedia still says Fighting Falcon and not Viper.
