Where is the stats you claimed? some individual cases happen everywhere, I m Chinese, I work in China and we know how we work and I lived in US I also know how Americans work, surely Chinese are more hardworking than Americans but not nearly close to widespread overworking, and also we are not like westeran media claims "being lying flat" either, you want stats? I will provide some. It's not western propaganda, the stats on worker deaths are published by the Chinese government. Unfortunately the Chinese government statistics conflate death from overwork with work related death / injury. You keep painting China as a utopian society when in fact more people die from work related injuries than from COVID - but I don't see factories being locked down.
Overtime triggers heated discussion after workers' deaths
Debate about working overtime in China's burgeoning information technology sector has resurfaced after the deaths of two staff members at major internet companies.www.chinadaily.com.cn
now don't tell me China Daily is Western MSM.
When you are poor , you work your hands to the bones to put the food on the table, after you get rich, you work less and become lazy, this is also true in China, now Chinese work much less hours than we used to do, people now spend much more time on vacations, China now is the world biggest outbound tourists country by a huge margin.
