It is definitely possible but the infrastructure challenge is enormous. City planner has work harder to ensure safety. If anyone would be able to do it, it has to be us.

looks like they have rail guards to keep cars from blocking the bus. they didn't show that in their previous concept and made everyone freaked out

Maybe in ultra-metropolis both would be needed. But I am not sure how sustainable such an intense urbanization would be in the long run.
