Today I watched a TV show , and it made me wonder what I was seeing
there was a segment which showed a crane being used to bring down animals on top of a 4-5 story building
So it seems , a Man looks after animals on Rooftop of a building i.e he is running some sort of a farm on top of a building in Karachi
So I was quite shocked at learning this story , I think while it is necessary to sacrifice animals but at same it is also important that the animal had lived a happy , normal life in a farm or natural habitat
The roof top of Pakistani buildings are normally concrete , and these roof tops heat up by summer heat which can raise to up to 45-49 degrees in summer
The whole idea of sacrifice is you are working with an animal which is happy and is quite deer to you
So how is this Sacrifice even , Halal , or legal in Islamic terms ?
Such treatment of animals is 100% illegal
A typical Roof in Pakistan looks like this
So this is not a normal habitat for the creature which is to be considered for sacrifice
Similarly farming on roof tops carries a risk of certain viruses spreading in to central city areas such as foot / mouth disease related to cows which has been a problem in East Asia not long ago
Typically a natural living environment for such animals is
So the practice of growing farm animals on Roof top buildings , and the story claimed the man was raising up to 16 cows on roof top certainly looks dodgy
