yesterday Muslim people were doing Namaz in Utrakhand Guruduwara. Due to heavy rain 800 people could not do prayers in open area also there is no big mosque in Utrakhand so Sikh community opened the Gurudwara gates for them to perform Namaz.

Nice people still exist in this world. I know of a Church in America that opens up its parking space during Eid/Jumma prayers for Muslims to accommodate the mosque next doors.

Heck, not really the same thing but I heard about a mosque in Brazil that transforms into a night club on weekends to some extra bucks.

.
Don't get me as a Mullah, but a mosque as a night club is just plain wrong. That place does not remain a mosque anymore.

At topic, good gesture.

LOL what?

I go to this Hindu mandir whenever I visit LA, that has priests from different religions including imams, rabbis, Buddhist monks etc. that give sermons and little details of their religion. It's pretty peaceful.

I think the proceeds go to charity. So yeah it sounds really good but you know Brazilian Mullahs must be party animals too, its the way they think :P

Well, everyone in Brazil is a party animal!

Serious note, this money does not count as charity (i.e like sawab and good deed) because it was gained from something haram. It's like giving charity from stolen money!

but whats wrong with a nightclub..

when Saudis who drink and do other such thinks like going to dance clubs etc can give charity, that should also be haram then.

Not surprised- a Gurdwara is open to all people regardless of faith, colour, caste, creed etc religious tolerance and respect for fellow human beings is a corner stone of the Sikh faith and what the entire religion is founded on. In fact the first words of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak, after finding enlightenment were to the effect of "there is no Muslim, there is no Hindu" ie we are all one, we are all humans. Anyway good for India, good for mankind. India, despite what others may try and spout, truly is an inspiration and an example for the rest of the world wrt tolerance and diversity except this news doesn't sell newspapers. Truly relgious people are never given the attention they deserve instead it is idiots who don't know the first thing about the religion they claim represent who do stupid acts who get all the limelight.

+ little quote FYI:

Bertrand Russell (Philosopher, Mathematician 1872-1970)-
If some lucky men survive the onslaught of the third world war of atomic and hydrogen bombs, then the Sikh religion will be the only means of guiding them. When asked, isn’t this religion capable of guiding mankind before the third world war? He said, ‘Yes it has the capability, but the Sikhs haven’t brought out in the broad daylight the splendid doctrines of this religion, which has come into existence for the benefit of the entire mankind. This is their greatest sin and the Sikhs cannot be freed of it.'

. . .
Great gesture. Sikhs believe strongly in good deeds, and it shows.

Its not all bad news, there were Muslims at Bangalore railway stations urging NE people not to leave.

Beautiful pictures my friend! Just goes to show people are mostly good regardless of their religion or backgrounds- a small number of idiots are present on all sides but the majority do not care to entertain the ideas of these fools.
