Egypt joins Putin side

. . . . .
Well I agree with you here arabs and turks mostly hate Egyptians unfortunately so they will most probably ally with russia . Egypt is facing threats from turkish/Qatari backed islamists groups in sinai and libya in addition to a hostile neighnour in the south "sudan" nevwe to forget ethiopia dam projects which aims to reduce water supply to egypt back by Qatar .

.
Iran and Iraq can do that. Plus, Egypt is not exactly a poor country either.

How could Iraq finance anything in the first place when their country is torn apart from continuous war and fighting and it wouldn't make any sense for Iran to do so. And Egypt suffers from large unemployment, uneducated youth and brain drain they need aid and funding.

I always expected SISI to switch to sides offering him money or assurance to stay in power. Saudis shot in their own feet as they replaced Ikhwan led government with Sisi's dictatorship. Saudis should have known that a person barely clinging to power has no allegiance to anyone except the one who can guarantee his stay at the throne.

Are there any reliable sources I can't take twitter seriously.

egypt on either side egypt.
unlike saudis egypts main goal isnt removing assad that doesnt mean egypt wants him to stay in power (should be lift for the syrians to decide).
And unlike russia egypt has zero interest in keeping assad in power knowing that he would become an iranian puppet if wasnt removed.
egypt also considers the vast majority of rebel groups to be terrorists thus the support of th russian airstrikes
what egypt wants to do is removing assad from power while keeping constitutions(eg the army police) to prevent what happend in Lybia from happening again.

Probably the most sensible stance on the Syrian conflict by any country.

i would not call it choosing a side ksa for example have good relations with qatar and turkey our enemies and we did not complain we from day 1 are close to russia and iraq under current government and the one before it and they did not mind this is what happens in politics
and also the same terror they face in syria we are facing in sainai

Not anymore. Egypt buy Russian hardware.
All the money they brought Russian weapons came from the Gulf states. Does it ever occur to you that after the coup, the Gulf states gave $10bn+ to Sissi as a gift then quickly spent on the military like crazy? That said, Egyptian army is dependent on foreign aids.

Saudi Arabia can exploit Sissi so I am certain they will change their views. No joining means no more money = no more buying toys (except US aids) and no more milking his military government with Gulf funds.

Sissi doesn't want that or his top generals will protest for more money, that will make him nervous and feeling suspicions of his surrounding, nomsayin? :D
