I think islamic brotherhood will come to power (or some stake in power), but that is not going to be end of the world for copts.
The whole world is watching, so are generals of Egypt, if anything it will force brotherhood to soften its stand.

I don't think Egypt will replicate either Pakistan or Turkey but create their own unique system. Secularism will definately bring more blood since Egypt is a very conservative country (been there 2 times). Democracy with a constitution that draws from Islam will be the best. But that is my opinion Egyptians know better than me.

And Turkey is the best example for it. A "relax" progressive Islamic democracy is what Egyptians should go for. Economic growth and scientific advance should be their first priority....After that , issues like defence etc will automatically be solved as Egyptians would have more resources to spend on defence etc...

its for US that turkey have a good army or eqonomy actually its all started with iran revolution when US looked for a country to make a Moderated islamic state that can be controlled that can trade with israel that can stand with jews and christian and liberal state while fight with Afghanistan and iraq!

this economy that they have is just based on US ,im not denying that they tried but who can possibly believe that they made through all those bets with themselves just wait and see turkey will be broken when iran fall .why? because US wont need it anymore.

remember first refinery they made in saudi arabia ,do you know why they made that?because we made a refinery and US wanted to tell its allied that you are better that iranian just stand against them.

im not telling that these nations are not good but none of them is independent maybe they look like that but you all know they're not.
otherwise we where better than any other country in whole ME back in 70's we had world 3rd biggest air force (just For example)we had a bigger army than all the countries around all together(dont add iraq they were with soviet) we had controll on all PG countries all these with US help and it was not what we needed we just needed allah and that's why our revolution and our government is not just Muslim ruling(like turkey) its Islamic governing

I know some Egyptians living and studying here in Pakistan, and their culture is very similar to Pakistanis as compared to other Arabs I know, like the Syrians and Palestinians I never understood this, you are right about that, but that doesn't mean their politics are the same.

you know why because some of them cant take having oil and money and a powerful ally(not exactly ally more like a master) on their side and it all happen in the past century

Egyptians are very good people, albeit a bit emotional. The peaceful revolution has proved the potential of Egyptian people. I wish them all the best!

all the arab states used to call themselves " Secular " states
and in the time of these secular states the most crucial dictatorships
are these secular states

Bin ali was secular to the core, mubarak also used to be the same thing.
bashar is ba'thiest which is to be called ultra secular and killed almost 40k in hama just because they are from the muslim brotherhood.

even though I'm not the best example of islamist and I think of my self as liberal
I would say that the best ruler that Egypt and every arab state can have is a liberal leader with islamic background like "erdogan"
