- Taxes on local income (most of these comanies keep their international taxes outside US, to keep it away from IRS purview) - Should be easily visible in their 10k filings available on their website
- Employment of high skilled workers - this has an additional rub on effect on secondary consumption economy
- access to data and control of narrative, as and when they need it (the US NSA has access to basically anything ever mentioned on an American internet platform)
- Ownership of Technology and IPR that gives US an advantage across the world
- the investors in these businesses keep the money in US (but that drives valuations, not GDP)
