East Asian Takeover: Vietnam Surpasses China in Q4 Growth

. . . .
Good for Vietnam, but somehow magically its ahead of China? You are smoking some crazy $hit dude if you think like that. Vietnamese members like to throw a punch above their weight, nothing against it but seriously its beyond ridiculous to think that Vietnam will surpasses China or Chinese growth now.

.
Congratulations. Well done. No surprise here. We East Asians all share the same hard working culture.

.
East Asia is Korean and Japan. Chinese is from west, middle Asia. China's data is modificated.
East Asia is all about China. East Asia will have basically nothing left without China .Vietnamese geography teaching is abysmal. Chinese data may have some problems, many economists say that China has vast hidden GDP which is not registered due to its secrecy in nature. Chinese GDP actually is much bigger than reported.

Did anyone read the article carefully. It states that China is slowing down growth to balance out its economy from export driven to consumption driven. If China sticks to export driven growth, it'll still be growing at 8%, but this type of growth is very risky as it fuels government debt from investment. Vietnam would have to go through this phase when it reaches China's current economic stage. This will determine whether or not a country can avoid the middle income trap and move on to become a developed country.

At the moment, China is succeeding well. It's domestic economy is booming. Good examples are: the Chinese box office in 2015 has exceeded $6 billion, Alibaba made $14.3 billion on singles day, and 30% of worldwide smartphone sales were in China.

Beijing as a city has GDP several times bigger than Vietnam's, let alone Shanghai and Hong Kong. several Chinese cities have similar GDP size as Beijing's. Vietnam's GDP can only compare to Chinese cities, not even to Chinese provinces.

Congrat to Vietnam. Thanks to Vietnam appeasement policy with China. They did not pursue SCS matter like Pinoy and have peace with China.

This is the result when you seek peace and trade more with China.

China has a hidden economy that is about another 10-15% of the economy. Hidden / unreported income is more common in China than in the USA.

Urbanization of about 1% per year shifts people over time from rural per capita GDP that is 3 times less than in the cities. Even if it takes ten or 20 years to shift people to the higher level. That is a steady stream that adds up to 3% per year of extra GDP growth.

China does have massive unreported hidden GDP
