the head of general seacurity for the Dubai Emirate, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, has stated that Palestinians should abandon their aspiration for an independent state and merge with Israeli Jews in a united, bi-national state instead.

In a series of remarks published on his Twitter account Monday afternoon, Tamim attempted to garner support for his idea, claiming that a Palestinian state led by Arabs would join the list of failed states in the Arab world.

According to Tamim, the dream of such a state will never come true, since "Israel will only recognize Palestine if Palestinians become part of it."

Tamim controversially stated: "I suggest relinquishing the idea of a Palestinian state and being satisfied with an Israeli state that would include both Israelis and Palestinians and join the Arab League."

"Today, the Jews are heading the world's economy, without the Jews you Arabs would not have known how to deposit your money in the bank," Tamim continued.

In light of what he described as Arab incompetence in running a state and the distinguished economic talents of Jews, Tamim claimed that a joint Jewish-Palestinian state will only prosper under Israeli leadership.

However, according to his thesis, this bi-national state would ultimately become an Arab state, where Jews will be a minority, as Jewish citizens in the Arab world are.

"Seventy years after the bi-national state would be established, the Arab minority would become the majority and rule the state, just like it happened in South Africa," Tamim tweeted.

In another tweet that spurred controversy, the Dubai security chief wrote: "We should not treat Jews as our enemies. We should treat them as cousins with whom we have a controversy over land inheritance. "

In order to test the feasibility of his idea, Tamim asked his Twitter followers if they think Palestinians and Jews can live together in an Israeli-ruled state. Not surprisingly, 57 percent of the followers answered that "'Jews have no place in our country."

" another failed arab state " interesting.

. . .
What a shame! And what a selfish & Cowardly statement he gave. these Arabs have no interest in Palestine now because they know they'll get nothing from it. So they start rubbing jews and Americans laps so they may get everything they want to buy sanction proof to kill Shia's of iran/syria/yemen.

They are recognising israel so they may support them in their dirty war's of killing shia's around the world. As israel has started bombing syria. ALAS! Muslims are killing Muslims.

. . .
Of course it will.

The first thing that will happen is that Islamic fascists will take it over, probably voted in. The 'palestinians' always choose the wrong option. It's a tradition for them.

The first realistic and hard-headed statement made by a responsible Arab official anywhere, and the Internet Palestinians are out in force.

Instead of dealing with their own emotions, they would do well to consider what is in the present and future interest of the Palestinians themselves. Rather than hang on the necks of Muslims in general and Arabs in particular, both Muslim and Christian, they should work out for themselves that this multi-religious state is their only practical solution within the visible future.

What are the heroes-at-others'-cost offering as an alternative? The freedom to supply more arms to despairing Palestinians trying to achieve what is clearly not achievable, an independent Palestinian state.

The responses are saddening.

Refreshingly candid in the assessment of the survival ability of any Palestinian state but a pie in the sky idea of being absorbed in a greater Israel. The Israelis wouldn't mind the land (considering that they go on & on about how God gave it to them :-)) but are unlikely to want this addition of people into their state. The Palestinians are really in a no-win situation, their only hope was for some sort of financial backing from the Arab states & the U.S. and some type of work permits to enter Israel. The Arabs no longer have either the interest or increasingly now, the means to do what is necessary (this statement reflects that more accurately than just a sudden spark of genius). The Palestinians will continue to languish in the state they are in for who knows however long.( Maybe not too bad a state when you consider the wider middle east; when Lebanon is the most peaceful state in the ME, you know the world has gone crazy)

Does it matter?

What do the Palestinians have now that they should fear the future?

The muslim/arab population in Gaza, israel a the west bank is now on the cusp of surpassing the jew population and is growing at a much faster rate.

1- Either they get a Palestinian state
2- Israel takes over with a population that may become majority muslim very quickly
3- The status quo continues whilst the arab population keeps expanding and expanding and decades down the line a stronger muslim world is about able to force a decision upon israel

Israels desire is simple they want the land but their are millions of arabs their who keep growing, they want through oppression and pressure to make them leave

The muslim world is growing 1 7 billion will grow past 2 billion, power comes and goes and it WILL return to the muslim world

Just like every great empire has crumbled and something taken its place

Just keep supporting the Palestinians keep putting pressure on israel and the Palestinians to keep expanding the population
