The preperations for this stunt took several months. In may our largest customer Emirates asked us if it would be possible for JetMan to fly in formation with an A380. This was never done before...

The A380 is the absolute beast of the sky. Its power and size are unmatched. I work on a daily base on it and was amazed to see it from those spectacular views.

It needed careful calculations because the engines have an enormous power and the massive plane generates enormous powerful vortex in the air. But watch for yourself:

But it worked. :)

Yes...its incredible and also incredible dangerous. The power of the A380 is unmatched. The engines were throttled down. Even at those low speeds they generate enormous suction at the intake

doesn't that unmatched phrase is reserved for GE90-115B engine which is used in Boeing 777 ?

in Toulouse Airbus decided to stop research until 2030. that means NO work on new plane.
sadly.

It would be so cool if these guys would become tomorrow's soldiers. Flying in the air with an machine gun, and hand grenades.

reminds me the first plane pilots in the first world war

Amazing. Looks like science fiction.

come on agree that engine is an engineering masterpiece. They even invented a new alloys to make that engine a possibility. Also don't forget even if one of the engines on Boeing 777 works it is enough for the airplane to reach its destination but if only one of the engines on an a-380 works its not enough to reach your destination.:p:

Thats wrong. The A380 can do a transatlantic crossing with 3 engines. And the most amazing thing is, that the A380 can lose 3 of its 4 engines and still keep its safety standards alive. The A380 stands at the highest safety level at ETOPS. It can reach higher speed and operates under far higher powers. Is more silent and efficient. Emirates had an engine fire 2 years ago on take off in JFK and made a normal landing in Dubai flying with only 3 engines.

I think you believe that our A380 has to do an emergency landing in case of an engine loss because teh Quantas incident? Keep inmind that Quantas didn´t made an emergency landing because the engine was lost. The engine was not just lost, it exploded. Engine parts damaged the wing, control surfaces and cables. The machine stayed stable and managed to land. The captain later said he was amazed what the airplane did in this situation and a 747 would have crashed in a similar condition. A 777 would not have survived this.

Just a few weeks ago a BA 777 had an engine explosion, that ripped its fuselage open and thanks god the pilot could stop take off and evacuate the airplane:

The 777 is a nice airplane but does´t play in the king league. The A380 generates 306,000 lbs of thrust while the 777-300ER generates 230,600 lbs of thrust.
