I don't know if they are qualified to be called a city, judging from the videos, which say they are just in between a narrow valley, they are at most several blocks big in size.

If the west sees those small village-towns in Tibet, they will cry out "genocides‘’ again, they will claim that Tibetans should live in their mud houses, burn yak dungs for heating and cooking, ride yaks to get around and get water from rivers and those were their thousands years old traditional way of life, the evil Chinese government just committed "cultural genocide", a new word coined by the west exclusively for China.

it means a not well-known place, like in USA people say a small town in the middle of nowhere

The west can't accept that previously super poor Tibetan farmers can start to live a life better than theirs. This is completely against their "rule based" global order.
