What's new

Dr. Asif Mahmood is from Pakistan and is Chief Campaign Organizer for Kamala Devi Harris

Mate, I'm one quarter Pakistani, my Grandfather left Pakistan for the UK before there was a Pakistan, back in 1929. You gone think that I'm about to have loyalty for a country that didn't give me shit, I don't owe them anything, I respect my heritage and I'm proud of all the places where all 4 of my grandparents came from, but considering that I'm 3rd generation British, you really think I'm going to choose Pakistan over United Kingdom???
Per Islamic law , you should be loyal and obey the law where you live.
I find it interesting she almost never brings up her Indian heritage unless its a platform for Indians. She tries to present herself as black more often. Check her twitter feed and count how many times she brings up India/Indians as opposed to "African American" (funny because her father was Jamaican not African), or "Black" or "Woman of color".
She always use black vote.

They are all snakes or don't you know.
The policies of the government are in place. Nit going to change because there is a change in the white house. Seen it all before. I guess you are a young man.
Nope sorry I didnt know. 20 years have passed by and I have only seen the good in America. :what:

He is an American and would(rightly) put American interests first as his role requires before Pakistan - I would do the same.

Now, he can paint the American interest as solving the Kashmir issue but at the end in his role that may be limited to what VP Elect Kamala listens on.

I don’t see that as the positive news but that Pakistani immigrants are slowly (and finally) starting to partake in American democracy and state systems.

I think Indians (and to an extent Pakistanis) read too much into ancestry of candidates that are of Indian origin. The only American politician whose ancestry seems to affect their decision making is Tulsi Gabbard. Besides Tulsi, the likes of Nikki Haley, Ro Khanna, Jayapal, and Kamala Harris (among others) barely even mention India. They are expected to put American interests before interests of India or other countries, and I haven't seen any evidence they care about Indian interests. Tulsi Gabbard as mentioned earlier is an exception. She seems to be an ardent Modi supporter, supporter of the Kashmir campaign of India and whatnot. She's also somewhat of a fringe politician in the US.
