A lot of Polish pilots did. In early days of PAF there was a requirement for pilots and not so many were available. After WW2 ended, lot of western pilots became jobless and went looking for jobs in various parts of the world. Pakistan hired many as flying instructors. Polish were so happy with Pakistan that some chose to stay. Remember Pakistan of late 50s and 60s was way advance and prosperous. It was among the fastest economies of the world.

Space program of Pakistan was conceived by Polish who chose to stay back and adapted Pakistani nationality. He convinced Westerners to transfer rocket technology to Pakistan. Polish have contributed a lot in early years of Pakistan.

When Germans invaded Poland in 1940, Poles and especially Jewish Poles began leaving the country. A lot of them came to settle in Karachi as well. Karachi then was a beautiful, extremely clean and well planned city. The British India was peaceful too and far away from war torn Europe.
