The concept of competition does not arise as Hinduism does not believe in the concept of conversion. There is no religious competition between China and India. Even in the economic space Sino-Indian trade is huge despite outstanding boundary issues. Indians still keep buying Chinese goods without any hesitation or inhibitions even after the Galwan incident.

They are in power due to the power vacuum created by the decline of Congress. It won't last forever. Regional parties will continue to grow and challenge BJP. Parties like TMC and AAP are already occupying the space leftover by Congress in the North India. BJP's penetration in the south is negligible anyway.
