What's new

Do I just represent the ‘honor’ of the men in my family?

@Divergent1 's threads are always funny because for all the shit she stirs, we all know she'll end marrying her cousin from Pakistan because daddy said so.

I get people to think and I don't think so mate. Yours are too emotional 'am I not a Pakistani?' Lmao okay :P

@El Sidd I'd create the thread but people won't focus on the content, rather the person and therefore a bias will be created if you know what I mean *ahem*

Not at all. I see a thread and come to crack jokes. Looks like cousin one stung, huh?

Don't worry it's all in good fun.

well the phrase hot and sultry in itself emit negative connotation at least I feel so

I'd love to do a thread about clothing of whatever attire shouldn't dictate a woman and nor question her integrity just have open views as I feel it's an interesting subject but then having so many guys on this forum, I don't want to have a whole army come at me lol or bring in my previous 'you opposed women to wear face veils' which I wasn't - I raised a concern based on a real life threatening event and discussed the recent climate.

Also you'd have to moderate it because I think a female always understands better where another female is coming from lol

What subject was it that you wanted me to do the thread on?

Nobody respects women be they religious or liberal.
-That's because respect is not a given, it is EARNED. In this age, where you demand equality in all spheres of life, why is it that you want respect as a given, when respect is not awarded as a given for men? If I respect you, then I should be able to say, that if tomorrow I had a daughter, I'd like your xyz quality in her.

There are women that men respect. for example, the woman in my profile picture i.e. Erin Pizzey, I respect her because she didn't sit in her room being a victim, when feminists tried to censor her for speaking out against female violence against men. Emilia Earhart, as an enthusiast of the aerospace industry, who WOULDN'T respect Emilia Earhart? Fatima Jinnah comes to mind in that conversation when it comes to efforts of independence. Arfa Kareem and other girls are also in the same conversation of "respect" etc etc.

-Notice how women that I mentioned Erin Pizzey /Emilia Earhart and Fatima Jinah and Arfa Kareem are at the opposite ends of the clothing spectrum yet all of them have earned the respect that they deserve from guys like me and many others. That's because my dear api, you earn respect by your actions not by the way you dress. Clothing might be a form of self expression that people might judge you on, but at the end of the day, it's your actions that matter the most.

I do admit, it is a little funny ... but It's also kinda mean. Let's not be mean and enjoy the conversation brotha!

What other adjectives do you propose that we can use, which are positive --- instead of the words I used which are among the used words to describe that facial expression ( I wasn't talking about her clothes to begin with) ...

I was hoping to see Afghans in Bikini post invasion

In UK however Afghans are in mini skirts already ...

btw, Jeans is a security risk (like veil is in UK) for women in Pakistan (except in Islamabad, and some parts of Lahore and Karachi)

Let me stop your argument in it's tracks. Clothing is a form of self expression, there have been rulings made in courts of the US which ruled in favor of students who broke the dress code set by their schools, and their argument was, clothing is a form of expression and under the first amendment we have a right to freedom of expression.

So, if other forms of self expression are okay and politically a-okay to judge people on (writing, quotes etc.) even though you might not have the slightest idea of the person personally, how come people get all sensitive about clothing? (unless your broke and you have no choice but to wear what you can get your hands on)
