You are so funny when you claim that eastern European are not taking any benefits as if you know every eastern European living in United kingdom and their financial circumstances. Truth is eastern European can take benefits as soon as they enter in UK thats why David Cameron proposed that they should work at least 4 years in country before claiming any benefits.

Most of these eastern European are in low skilled jobs i.e labours, cleaning, warehouse operative and fruit picking etc .Non European Immigrants cannot take benefits until they get settlement or British nationality which is very difficult these days because of strict immigration rules and can take 7/8 years for highly skilled workers so they contribute more towards taxes, charges toward health services than your eastern European unskilled labour forces who pay no visa fees, no NHS charges, No any other financial requirements for visa extensions or brining spouse and kids as dependent
Answer is simple. Most Pakistani went in UK to improve their economic condition or to gain better education. They did not went there for love of western culture or to get approval certificate from native British. They dont feel the need to appease native people by giving up their own cultural or religious identity They knew that these societies are multicultural societies who will give them space for their personal unique identity whether cultural or religious. What it actually mean to integrate into British society? Living like white British does and adopting everything they do blindly ? Stop eating your own foods , stop celebrating your culture or religious festival? stop fasting and praying in mosques? appreciating western view of sexuality and dating? If integrating into British society mean adopting good practices in their society and getting rid of bad practices in your own culture then it should be more than welcome
