India is not able to seal the J&K border alone with all its resources in almost 30 years and you think you can seal 3000 km border (with almost all have difficult to very difficult terrain) in a year or too. I have been asking senators and congressional staff why my money is given to Pakistan only to see it being used to directly and indirectly harm our own forces and allies. People speak against us all the time and even we speak against others all the time. This is why negotiations are conducted; to address misconceptions and to find "common ground" on various issues.

If the (existing) terms of engagement are not working, then (new) terms of engagement are necessary. We cannot keep our head buried in the sand and only "react" to developments around us forever. Time to be proactive about this issue.

If there are people in this forum with high-level contacts, they should pay heed to meaningful advises coming from me and others; get the message through. I am thinking of doing my part in this.

We cannot (and should-not) expect other states to solve our problems vis-a-vis US and Afghanistan. We have the capability to address these issues on our own, should we play our cards right.
