MIT have made a progress in decoding the vibration of sonar signals with highly sensitive radar.
And it works just like a hearing aid,
Sonar works under water and aircrafts use radio signals which doesn't work under water, so they build a highly sensitive radar which decodes the vibration generated underwater by sonar.
In normal situation subs check-in with ships and they connected it with the aircraft, but this capability can enable a recon missions in enemy territory with a stealth bomber or drone communicating directly with a submarine.
