Differences emerge between PPP, PML-N over anti-govt campaign
Web Desk On Jul 7, 2020
LAHORE: Cracks have started to appear between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaderships after the latter showed no interest in mounting pressure on the incumbent federal government, ARY NEWS reported citing sources.

According to sources, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has left Lahore after a week-long visit and during the stay, several attempts were made to make contact with the PML-N leadership.

“The PML-N leadership did not give a satisfactory response to the approaches made by the PPP,” they said.

The sources said that the opposition had suggested holding a multi-party conference before the passage of federal Budget 2020-21. “The PML-N did not respond to the suggestion and even their lawmakers remained absent during budget debate,” they said.

Sources close to the PPP leadership said that since Shehbaz Sharif is the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, he should have led the charge against the government during the budget debate.

The former ruling party in the Punjab province seems uninterested in mounting pressure on the incumbent government, they said.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on June 28 said that the opposition parties have rejected the federal budget for 2020-21.

Bilawal Bhutto announced that the opposition had agreed to hold an all-parties conference in the next week after the recovery of the PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif from COVID-19.

However, despite his announcement to hold a second multi-party conference after Shehbaz Sharif’s recovery from COVID-19, no dates for the political event is announced yet.

This is very interesting...Guys.

What do you think why PPP is desperate to form a coalition against government ?

Any why PML-N is not responding?

Establishment at her works? :)

PPP should be defeated in 2023 elections at all costs in Sindh

PPP may not have support in Sindh, but they still can rig elections legal. Karachi Rejected them, but the rest of Sindh still brought them back.

PPP won with subtle support from establishment last time....Army should not allow them this time. Army guys get deployed in polling stations..

Some say, PPP was about to be defeated in Sindh but establishment winked and they won

First and foremost, I strongly believe that IK, Bajwa and Faiz are on the same page, therefore, it can be presumed that Pakistan establishment is supporting IK Govt. Will things change in future? Who know !

Second of all, I have been hearing all these empty thread of opposition that IK Govt will topple, we will send him packing and he will have to leave the office since last year. Fazlu Fraudiye came in full josh, however, badly betrayed by both PML-N and PPP and he was vanished in the thin air. I also heard twice that opposition wouldnt let PTI's Govt approve budget, again they failed to do so.

Bottom line is, there is no short cut or quick resolution of Pakistani issues, specially in today's hopeless economic circumstances. PML-N, PPP and their supports can do as much chest beating as they want, but neither of these two parties have solution of economic issue of Pakistan (or other issues) - which has been opposition's prime issue to highlight and make it look like that its Khan's or PTI's fault. Pakistan is in serious financial crisis because of these two parties and because of their polices in the past.

That said, neither PML-N nor PPP will like to inherit Pakistan's economic or other issues, because they know that they cant resolve them, therefore making all the noise.

Therefore, I dont think Khan is going anywhere anytime soon, he should complete his term, in fact he should get a second term with the majority, so that he can do which he cant atm due to invisible handcuffs & blackmailing of his allies.

And as for 2023 election and PPP nothing will change till they have blessing of establishment. They have lost from Karachi and thats the max could've been done. Also, IF PPP, Zardari and his allies will get away after Uzair's JIT (cuz prosecuting Uzair is not enough, those need to be prosecuted as well who aided and asked him to do all those heinous sin's - which is PPP leadership, I am certain) then its a clear indication that there is some kind of understanding in between Zadari/PPP and establishment and they will continue to loot and plunder in Sindh, because they can, they are untouchable and they have "licence to kill " from establishment - this is bitter and ugly truth, however, I really hope NOT to see them sitting on Govt benches in 2023.

The option of governor raj is very real as ppp exercised that right after 18th amendment I mean the whole of Balochistan government was sent home packing
They didnt realize at that time what they had done now the precedent is there and they are in crisis mode

PPP should be defeated in 2023 elections at all costs in Sindh
I am not hopeful for interior sindh I think PTI should look for weakening 18th amendment and empowering LB and also look for acceleration of Seraiki soba to further weaken pmln

Interesting...

Interior Sindh should definitely be worked upon with help of allies...Interior Sindh is key to Karachi as of now, whether we like it or not....Once interior Sindh freed from PPP clutches, you'll see Pakistan going ahead with FULL potential
