These are additional(but important...very important) details that indeed do shine some light on India's air defenses. However I'm currently more interested in establishing facts regarding the claims made by both sides over the past few days. For some reason despite all the evidence coming out of Pak's side backing up their claims...Indians are still convinced of the narrative they are fed without any solid evidence. So it would be very handy and convincing(I hope) for Indian members if all of it could be compiled into one place rather than scrolling through pages and pages of various different threads.

On a separate note regarding the air defenses...there is no air defense system that has 100% kill probability. Not even countries like US/Russia/Western European countries have any such systems. Even if one could theoretically develop such a system...still that system would have to contend with counter measures. For every system on the battlefield there is a counter. Things like stealth(to avoid getting detected), EW/jamming(F18 Growler's wild weasel approach), stand off weapons, or simply giving the system too many targets to shoot at like a barrage of cruise missile...all these will either destroy the air defense system or create an opening for its destruction. In the future there will be some other counters like MALD(near future), and drone swarms(somewhat distant future). It's flawed logic to consider any weapon absolute. If air defense systems were so perfect then countries around the world would stop buying fighter jets.

The only people they convinced of this non-sense along with JF-17 being nothing more than a cheap Chinese knockoff are Indians themselves. No wonder they had a rude awakening. They are hell bent on propagating their believe that only some what capable platform in PAF is F-16 which by the way according to their logic can be taken down easily by a Mig-21. They are slaves to their own shortcomings and a hugely inflated ego.
