Saudi Arabia does not appear to have paid the $1 billion that President Donald Trump said it has paid to house a deployment of US troops to the kingdom, according to the Pentagon.

Trump had previously touted Saudi Arabia's financial contribution, telling Fox News last week, "I said, listen, you're a very rich country. You want more troops? I'm going to send them to you, but you've got to pay us. They're paying us. They've already deposited $1 billion in the bank."
But the Pentagon says discussions about how Saudi Arabia can help pay for the cost of the US military deployment there are ongoing.
"The Saudi government has agreed to contribute to the costs of these activities, and discussions are ongoing to formalize these contributions. Contributions of this nature do not lead to the deployment of additional U.S. forces, and they do not drive DOD to take on new missions or responsibilities," Pentagon spokesperson Cmdr. Rebecca Rebarich told CNN in a statement.

Just what I wrote. Similarly about the US Patriots being moved from Greece to KSA. Many threads created recently based on fake news and which attracts trolls and gives PDF traffic. Should not be necessary.

The whole news was/is moronic. What exactly was KSA supposed to pay for other than military hardware that every buyer of US hardware does from Japan to the UK? Extra US deployments to the region is an internal US matter and is paid for by the US itself. KSA is not a NATO member state for the country to pay an fixed annual fee.

The whole idea of some regional war occuring is not realistic. KSA and Iran are not going to go to war against each other (no real winner and would only weaken both) and in case of an unlikely US-Iranian confrontation, opening new fronts for Iran would be suicidal and give KSA and allies free hands to reply in an even harsher manner. It makes no sense. Targetting US bases located in Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Iraq makes more sense but that would only open more fronts against Iran as well and drag those countries into the war against Iran.

And contrary to popular opinion you cannot just blow oil and gas facilities up thinking that all the oil and gas will disappear or that such tactics cannot be used on you.

I cannot make any remarks right now because the post itself has contradiction and that too from one place: The president of United States says something else and his own pentagon on the other hand denies it.
I guess then we need Saudi sources to support either Pentagon's denial or Trump's statement.
In addition to that, a quite relieving news I came across that Iran has finally, agreed to come on terms with House of Al-Saud. Hence, I hope that Saudi Arab knows their responsibility very well and they know what it takes to bring peace in the regiion.I hope that Irani regime is also seeking peace and if both countries eventually come to agreement then this will impact US-Iran tensions and US will meddle carefully herself in this region.
You need to understand that whatever happens in ME or Iran will also impact her surrounding countries and Saudi Arab understands her responsibility very well.Despite of all nonsense I haven't seen Saudi Arabia as giving irresponsible statements or giving hateful speeches.
I really recognize how some masses are trying to manipulate "A news" into "A sizzling nonsense"
