Pakistan Army AH-1Z at AMARG

Nine Pakistani AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters are currently stored at 309th Aerospace Maintenance And Regeneration Group (AMARG), Tucson (AZ). Their delivery was postponed with the excuse that Pakistan was not ready to receive them. It is uncertain what the future delivery time frame will be.

All helicopters are in the process of being covered in white rubber coating known as 'spraylat' to preserve them in pristine condition. The nine Vipers involved are; 786-061, 062, 063, 067, 068, 069, 070, 071, and 072. The other three, 786-064 to 066, are thought to be stored elsewhere; most possible at NAS Patuxent River (MD).

No problem!!! The Turkish birds, Insha'Allah with indigenous engines, are on their way....

You can keep your machines away from Pak, but not KADER.....

They kept away the fighters too, but Pak came back with vengeance to take control over the Indian airspace and took down the jets brimming with their techs....

Insha'Allah Pak will be producing attack choppers in tons like the way she's producing JF-17s...

Many a country conspires/connives/colludes etc., Pak disposes....

IIRC Pakistan basically refused to pay for them from national funds, only from CSF and FMF. It'll be interesting to see if the US offers an alternative, like a loan, to get these to Pakistan. So far the US industry has lost on quite a few deals (follow-on attack helicopters, OPVs, corvettes, etc) due to the lack of an export loan.

As trump recently said that relations with Pakistan are getting better and also he would meet Pakistani leadership soon I think they will try some alternate instead of completely cancelling the deal and selling to some third party. These small deals help in increasing American influence over Pakistan so US would like to resume this deal through some alternate way!

Although I love American attack helis but still I would like to say that instead of investing in Viper we should procure decent numbers of T-129 Atak 1 and later on Atak 2.

We need them. Why doesn't qureshi's diplomacy work here? Pakistan should somehow come up with something to secure these beasts of attack helis.

We need them. Why doesn't qureshi's diplomacy work here? Pakistan should somehow come up with something to secure these beasts of attack helis.

It's not diplomacy issue and don't put so much trust in SMQ.
He can't deliver you on ground anything, which is beneficial for Pakistan. enough said.

slight misunderstanding here, "Turkish Birds" contain American parts which are not licensed to be sold to a country which USA is desperately trying to stitch-up (frame-up for sanctions) and turn into another Iraq etc.

NO ONE sells weapons to a country marked for destruction

There is an urgent need to weaken Pakistan in order for India to have a chance against it.

so no Vipers no t-129 or whatever else from any NATO country.

LOL ATAK uses American engines hence they are on a hold as well. Kindly update yourself.

question is; is Pakistan paying their rent for storages or not this time like it paid for those F16s that had gone for repair in America in 1990s? which were never returned
