If Pak retaliates then I will personally cover PDFs expenses for a year. If we dont, then we might as well let PDF close and similarly disband our armed forces to save money for better causes.

With correct cache mechanisms a single 40$ server is more than enough to handle defence.pk load.

if you get a couple million hits a month, you will need a CDN network, load balancer, at least 4 servers, at least 2 database severs, at least two firewalls and a ddos protection service plus web application firewall

CDN is a must in any case as it significantly reduce load on server. Cloudflare server shield can manage ddos easily. Yes depending on traffic multiple servers might be needed.
