What happened between Chechanya and Russia was tragic and I hope it will never happen again. I follow current events, and the I see it. Things are shifting at this time and era. Russia may become an ally in future when worse things breakout. Unfortunately, world is leading us to a bad war that I expect will break out in 3-6 years. And this war will require unexpected alliances. So I hope that Russians and Muslims alike try to forget past and move on with goodwill towards each other. Remember Russians are large orthodox community. There is hadith that states we will come to alliance with them during a bad war. And I expect with situation in Europe/sanctions against Russia. It will lead to some sort of cooperation together as I said 3-6 years.

For now I don't want to look in past and look to future. But also look to our situation primarily.
