Dawn Leaks: Government’s next cover-up strategy?

.
Once again - @Farah Sohail

@Farah Sohail - you will know others have lost it when they start comparing apples to oranges or worst when trying to justify one wrong with another wrong.

You'll sometimes see comparison between self admitted national security breach and reports based on he said/she said and didn't disclose his/her name.

In the meanwhile; just relish and enjoy those comparisons!

@Farah Sohail - if someone says to you to compare these two reports A & B:

A)
http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idINKBN0H015K20140905?irpc=932

He said/she said/they said - anonymous minister etc.,

And ....... Admission by Sitting Govt of National Security Breach from PM's Office

B)
https://www.google.ca/amp/mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSKCN12T0DZ

Excerpt from Reuters report:

The office of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has repeatedly rejected the article as inaccurate and the journalist who wrote it was at one point temporarily barred from leaving the county

On Saturday, the prime minister's office said the Oct. 6 story was "planted" and termed it a "breach of national security". Dawn newspaper editors have stood by the story and its author

---------------------

Then do tell them to compare apples to apples- Period!

Seriously they can have one defence: all these statements were given when we were in total saroor of Nihari, Siri Paye and Lassi - hence please disregard these statements as we were not in hosh o hawas.

Can't have any other defence line other than above - Akram Sheikh should make a note of this and attach it with Qatari letter.

Is this supposed to quid pro quo. You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. A series of posts and liking each other posts. Or is this a joke that I am not supposed to understand :)

Peace out bro.

Anything else. BTW I am yet to see such a defence regarding Nihari and Paye given by any member. Maybe like dawn story you have not read the thread as well.

Breaking News: Govt. refuses to take any further action on Dawn leaks report and says that the action has been taken already. Also expresses reservations on ISPR tweet.

. .
Ch. Nisar may try to sell the PMLN strategy by terming it as "fabricated" news aka Dawn Leaks.

Issue is; after ISPR's rejection of Rao & Fatemi flavoured lollipop, PMLN is in a fix; as posturing revisions are not auguring well on a report which was termed as national security breach by none other than Ch. Nisar himself when pressure on admission of fault was high from CCC on RS.

Now, if no conviction happens and perpetrators are not tried as per Army Act; then no posturing can save PMLN nor Army for it will effectively mean; that stance has been changed and both parties involved have settled on a point, which unequivocally was national security breach.

PMLN has already shot itself several times in handling of this issue; they (senior leaders) are not comfortable as they have lost everything to Army to save one person of Sharif family. One of the hawks in PMLN has stated somewhat like this; even if band aid is applied to this wound; it will temporary and we will always be in blackmailed status as evidence is with not only with MI & ISI, but also with IB, and at some point in future it can be leaked (intentionally or unintentionally) which will finish the party as sedition case could be started on future PM of PMLN.

So even if mellowed down consensus report is published; that does not solve the existing or future issues for Sharifs, and a lot of senior members (6 that I know of) are strongly advocating for in house change without Sharif's as in charge or else face fate worse then PPP.

Whatever will be the outcome; Sharif has been chained due to his resistance to let power go on self admitted and conceded national security breach from PM Office of sitting Prime Minister and saving her daughter and is ready to put on line the fate of entire party to save Maryam.

Sharif is taking a very miscalculated risk on which he has put his own party leaders as opponents to Sharifs. There are very few cards left in the game - worst fact is; all are with the other party quipped another non elected member I had spoken to an hour ago.

Let's see what report comes out for public perception - in reality; Sharifs seems to be fighting not a losing battle - but a lost battle!

Anyone remember; what Pervez Rashid recently stated; it wasn't his duty to block/stop "the planted" news, Rao's request for complete report for his lawyers to challenge in court, and Fatemi's letter strangely published for the world to see that he rejects the charges and had no hand. The choices of sacrificial lambs PMLN for sacrifice are exhausted; they have fired all the three bullets they had in the chamber; what new will come out in Ch. Nisar's report? :big_boss:

@PakSword - You are spot on issues of $ for PA - however China has no issue with IK, nor with any other including PPP. Their vision is strategic not tactical, and no party or leader can go against China even if it's Maulana Fazlur Rahman as PM :)

KSA can play its cards and is still playing behind the scenes; their Ambassador and rep of King Salman recently met IK and SMQ.

@Farah Sohail

As for PA - I quoted a conversation with one of the PA Generals in London recently, where he stated we have no issue with IK, if he let's us have the complete authority to fire shots in certain domains.

Maryam is our next PM - she suits "them" better than even N$ - especially after being caught red handed.

So if you see what had been happening in the last week - this outcome was not totally unexpected - less desirable maybe - depending on how much you want the change the status quo.

SCP is under immense pressure now; as they think someone wants to use their shoulder to put the rocket launcher - will they be able to handle the weight of becoming a launchpad - is anybody's guess!

Hmm..so should we start celebrating Maryam as our next PM?

Regd SC... Well..we dont even know yet tht whether Justice Khosa and Justice Gulzar's verdict will still be counted or not? Or do we need majority of this 3 member monitoring bench now..to get NS disqualified?? There are 2 diff opinions on this... If we need majority of this 3 member bench..then what will advocate and pakora do? Everyone knows tht already..

In these crisis and turmoil..along with IK, only Justice Khosa and Justice Justice have come out as real winners and heroes..who were bold and courageous enough to play their part and challenge the status quo.. Hats off to those judges!!!! They stand tall today.... Cant praise them enough.. Have immense respect for them

There is confusion - but most agree that count will be of original bench; as it's not process of elimination - each carries one vote and JIT is part of the original bench; it's not handling a separate case - it's the same case; however more details for 3 others to reach their conclusions like 2 already reached.

Biggest qs is; what if these 3 side with N$; then what?

In regards to COAS and N$ - I still stand by my earlier statement "Aal iz Natt Wellllll"

I dont think it will be 3-0 in favor of NS in this new bench..... I am hopeful abt Justice Ijazul Ahsan.. He might change sides.. Thts why.....if only one more vote is reqd..then there are many chances of NS getting disqualified..... But if we need majority of this 3 member bench..then i am not at all hopeful.. Pakora judge and advocate will side with NS... It will be probably 2-1 in favor of NS...

I want SC to clarify this point at the earliest.. When will we come to know tht whether Justice Khosa and Gulzar's vote be counted in the final verdict?

Of course Justice Khosa's & Justice Gulzar's vote cannot be dismissed. They will count towards final decision.

But again; what if Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan is not satisfied? It would still be 3-2 in N$'s favour!

There are 2 diff legal opinions on this.. Even Amir Mateen discussed this in his prog tht I discussed with lawyers and lawyers are divided on this issue..whether Justice akhosa and Gulzar's verdict will be counted or not? Or majority of this 3 member bench is needed?

Abt Justice Ijazul Ahsan.. I am quite hopeful he will be convinced against NS... So if theres only one more vote needed....then we are hopeful

@PakSword ab phir se dil chah raha hai ke in 2 judges ke liye tribute thread create kiya jaaye...esp jo aaj hua hai,....uske baad............ Aaj phir se un dono ke liye duaaein nikal rahi hain, dil se
