Cyclist Samar Khan says faced harassment in Islamabad

. . .
No I mean harrassing and molesting girls on streets.
I think groping is considered harassment in India too.

Though in Pakistan, definition of harassment is much more strict and mostly ambiguous. Sometimes even harmless talking and asking for marriage is also considered harassment.

Disgusting episode. Cycling is good for fitness....not that I'd ever do it. Shameful that nobody intervened to help the woman.

so,the women should not have freedom to come on to the road? Why don't women in the west who do all kinds of cyclings, hikings even at nights in the remotest of countrysides face these things? This thinking that women should be confined to four walls is the reason our south asia has such a horrific record of abuse against women...they are human beings and they have as much right to enjoy all the freedoms that a man does..in this era of social media and internet the more you try to suppress them ,the more they will rebel..

In the west such incident happens as well, just follow to the news you will see similar crime happens there too. In fact the crime rate in the west is nothing to be brag about, in some places you can't even step out of your home at night due to rampant crime.

But I'm not saying this is right, but this is an isolated incident and every country have their problems but Pakistan have already commited to solving this problem with Imran Khan openly commited to solving these issues.

I am not against women working or going outside but doing a campaign to "bring women on roads" seems to be liberal's agenda. Go live in the west and ull know wat happens to girls there as well. We have our norms and values, wr allow women to work and go out but with our norms and values, we dont need liberals campaigning to tell us how to allow women out.
Please tell me what happens to girls here in the west when they bike or run alone which is worse than Pakistan?
