Crumbling Infrastructure Is Hurting America’s Competitive Edge

That is true, but it doesn't change the facts today. The world has changed dramatically since.
.

LOL! It's only changed dramatically to you because you were so backwards. To much of the developed world it hasn't changed much.

Give some remote tribe in the Amazon rainforest cellphones and computers and they will think the world has changed dramatically. Meanwhile to everybody else it has been just a progression.

US was very backward when Americas are first discovered too, what matters is no world have the best infrastructure now and will become even much better in the near future. We can even easily outbuild the rest the world altogether.

You still don't even have some core infrastructure we had well over 100 years ago.

We also have many of those in our parks, infrastrucutre does include many sectors and China is not the number one in everything so far, but will be tomorrow judging from the neckbreaking speed of development and expansion.

It goes further than that.
Can you drink the water straight out of you home faucet?
Do all your public buildings have free drinking bubblers without special filtering required (like libraries, movie theaters, schools, basically everywhere) or do you have to add a filtering device.

This is basic stuff.

No, most of us drink from water coolers in China, it's safer and cheap and being delivered to your house one message away, we don't have a habbit of drinking tap water. libraries, movie theaters, schools all have similar drinking facilites at least in Beijing, I m not sure about other place. but that's not the point, the point is Chinese public infrastrucuture went from almost nothing to world number one in just two decades.

This is some of the infrastructure that you don't even have that we have throughout the country and have had to maintain for 100 years.

What made you think that we don't have? We moved water from south China to north China, the biggest water transport project in the human history.

This is what they do to the water before they run it into protected tunnels instead of above ground like you guys.

UV

Ozone
There's infrastructure like this all over the country.

You really don't know nothing, water goes on face before they go to water treatment facilities, that's common practice everywhere especially you need to transport river volume water from somewhere thousands of miles away. China has many water tunnels and pipes for within a province transportation.

If you did it correctly you could be drinking it straight out of taps in any city in China. But you can't because your national drinking water infrastructure doesn't support it. This is basic 101 stuff in the developed world.

Even in US too a lot of people dont drink out of tap. Thats quiet an exaggeration. Almost all houses or plenty of them use filters in house. Outside people prefer bottled water.

One thing i do admire about china is that the infrstructure is being built on rather a challenging geogprahy. China is not as geographically blessed as america is when it comes to water resources or simple topology which is more forgiving. China has a harsh topography and is water stresed but none of it comes in the way of chinese relentlessly adding infrastructure to their country.

Water coming out of faucets or pipes are never very safe, even many drinking bubblers everywhere in Chinese parks, very few people use them, people just drink bottled water, in my building the water is drinkable based on the property management notice, but I know no one directly drinks from a faucet, we all use water coolers. easy and convenient.

Now you know full well that's not true.

There's one thing to not drink tap water because you don't like the taste vs not drinking it because it will get you sick.
