Legendary spinners Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralidaran are in discussions with the Bangladesh Cricket Board as spin consultant, according to the board’s cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan.
He informed Dhaka Tribune yesterday that they are planning to hold spin bowling camps for the national spinners and also for those in the pipeline.
“We plan to have this camp after the [Dhaka Premier] league. We are at the initial stage of discussions with Warne and Muralidaran, let us see how it goes,” Akram informed yesterday.
“The camp will be in phases say for 10 or 15 days at a stretch. We are planning how things should be done and once we have the consultant we will be able to reach a final decision, I am sure the consultant will have his own way of doing things,” said the former national captain.
For Warne and Muralidaran, the job will be the first in Bangladesh.
