Countering PTI: Nawaz promises tit-for-tat rally at Minar-e-Pakistan

LAHORE:
The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) is seeking financial assistance from its overseas supporters as it furthers its anti-government movement across the country.
A high-level PML-N delegation led by the party’s overseas wing president Senator Ishaq Dar met with party president Nawaz Sharif at Raiwind on Friday to discuss the party’s scheduled public gatherings.
Sources said that some overseas party workers expressed displeasure over Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s large public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan last month and asked Sharif to assemble a rally at the same place as a rejoinder to PTI supporters overseas.
Sources said that Nawaz has assured party members that he will hold a tit-for-tat rally at the same venue, however, it will take place after he has held rallies across the country. He said the Lahore gathering will be the start of the party’s Long March towards Islamabad.
During the meeting, Nawaz also shared details of the party’s strategy to topple the government. He recalled that PML-N earlier restored the judiciary with a Long March in 2009 and said his party will save the country from multiple crises through another such movement.
“The country has already been divided into two parts because of secret hands,” said Nawaz. He said that he considers politics to be “a sacred mission” and that he would not forego any sacrifice to save the country.
Sources told The Express Tribune that the party has sought financial help from its overseas supporters for its ongoing movement against the PPP-led coalition government. They said that the party’s other sources of income like those of local donors have shrunk and that the PML-N has asked its overseas wing to donate generously.
Sharif also presented details of the expenditures of their scheduled rallies in Pakistan, like the ones that will be held in Faisalabad and Gujranwala on November 20 and 24 respectively.
Additionally, he chalked out the plan for PML-N rallies in Bahawalpur, Multan and Rawalpindi. Later, he said he will visit the Hazara division of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and other areas and move to Balochistan to hold more rallies.
Sources revealed that Dar presented the estimated cost of each rally, which would vary between Rs15 million and Rs30 million each depending on the site of the gathering.
Furthermore, Sharif has called all party office bearers, MNAs and MPAs from the Faisalabad division tomorrow (Saturday) to Raiwind. In this meeting, Sharif plans to discuss how his party can make his rally successful in Faisalabad.
Party sources said Nawaz Sharif will resume his movement against the government through an important announcement in Faisalabad on November 20.
PML-N initiated this movement on October 19 from DG Khan. His younger brother Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has already addressed a rally in Lahore on October 28 where he lashed out at President Asif Ali Zardari.

Some Pakistanis just enjoy living in a state of ignorance. That's the reason why we are in the sorry state that we're in right now. The price nice people pay for being nice is really shocking sometimes.

He did say he would give more, perhaps your ears failed at that specific time during the video. PML-N did a lot for the people that were affected by the floods, everyone that keeps an open-mind is aware of that

are you telling me he had only 500 to give to a poor old lady who somehow got to Shehbaz shairf ??? laray beta kab tak awam ko in per lagay rakho gay.......

if Nawaz sharif goes to Sindh empty handed and forcefully gather people to listen to him and say you should be given 1 lac each person, I must say charity begins at home !!

He said he would give more, what part of this don't you get? What if he didn't have more cash on him? Are you going to scrutinize him for that? You could see the emotions on Shahbaz's face. It doesn't matter how much money he gave, it's the intention with which he gave it. And you could clearly see he was doing it out of love. Show me a comparable video of Imran Khan please.

So I hope this means Nawaz is finally going to move some of that $$$ stashed abroad from the Hudaibia Paper Mills affair, in order to fund some more rallies? I'm sure the "overseas supporters" will be very generous, especially given how much of Nawaz's wealth is abroad in his immediate family's name, sure they wouldn't mind dishing back some of that dough for the big daddy. Maybe he should ask Kim Barker to make a generous donation - she did break his heart by refusing to go out with him, AND writing a book about Nawaz's romantic advances... least she could do.

Atleast they're tacitly admitting that their previous rally was a joke compared to Imran Khan's. Inshallah these ones will be, too.

Bad News for ruling coalition and to PTI….!!!

One thing PTI lacks or don’t go currently in their favor is…the ruling coalition against which ordinary people have most of the ire and anger nowadays…are not opposing and lambasting them as they did when NS speaks….and that speaks volume in the ends.

An active NS in every corner of the country for his political campaign is recipe of disaster to every of his political opponent…his statement in those jalsas will infuriates the ruling coalition and in return when they fire back their guns towards him….its a Win-Win situation for NS/PMLN….Bcz ordinary public just wants a real opposition not an idle one…! Who creates that opposition and fire the momentum will go with him and finally get most of the undecided votes in bulk…!!!

A consistent “tortoise” will eventually wins over a “hare” who may be on a rollercoaster right at this moment..!!
