Costa Crociere and MSC cancels all trips to Tunis

Costa Crociere announced that all stops of its ships in tunisia are cancelled since Tunisia is unable to provide the necessary security.

Costa Fortuna switchs to Barcelona instead
Costa Favolosa to Tarragona
and Costa neoRiviera to Malta.

The other big italian cruise line MSC also changes all planned stops in Tunisia and reroutes its cruise ships to european destinations.

The MSC Splendida will go to Malta
MSC Fantasia go to Mallorca
MSC Preziosa will go Sicily
MSC Divina will also go Malta instead

Costa and MSC are both italian cruise lines and the market leaders. That they leave Tunisia means that Tunisia is basicly cut off from the cruise market.

Both lines acted very well in the present situation and quick.

No, its totally rational and smart reaction.Both Costa and MSC need good publicity too attract guests. Tunisia is a no go zone now.

If they would go there again, nobody would leave ship at port there and the cruise lines lose income for tours there and if something happenes again there both image would take damage.
