Before people criticize this move, they should understand the circumstances. The development of FATA and Waziristan region is being headed by the Army, and if you want to look at how it is coming along, you should check an RT documentary on Waziristan.

Beyond that, we must understand that the army plays a significant role in Pakistan and thus it must be part of any national effort. No, I would not support military dictatorship but role has to be provided to the military in the national strategy. I can see historical parallels in this. Most of the west prior in it's formative stage saw their armies play large role in the making of those nations. Britain, France, Turkey, Germany, USA etc

It is good as govt is inexperienced and is doing blunders which can be avoided by advise of army chief

.
But majority of Pakistanis won't mind
If, you god forbid, had a road accident on the GT road and killed some child the majority of the mob would want to tear you, limb by limb and then feed them to the local dogs. But that would not fcukin make it right? Or would it?

COAS shouldn't be a permanent member but participate on special invitation/guest member when required.

And the previous governments that ruled Pakistan since the last 30 years, PPP, Musharaf, PNL-N were experianced. Never made any blunders. Is that why Pakistan is in the mess it is today? Compare China or India's progress by way of comparison over that 30 years.
