I know several pakhtun family and friends, and believe you me, these incidents are rare and far between. Mainly focused on slums and high density areas.

Just compare one of Bharat's mega city with say Karachi or Lahore.

Now imagine the task of police to go into tiny streets and find the culprits ready to blow themselves up.

With little resources, and lack of training, they will use heavy handed tactics. But the situation should not be confused with large scale discrimination against Pakhtoon brothers.

They still can come to major cities and open shops and start small business.
They still can buy property
They still can send their kids to local schools and colleges.


But the situation here is very ttense due to Operation Zarbe-Azab

And police is using heavy handed tactics against "everyone" look remotely suspect. you gotta see how so many MQMers are being hounded these days by LEAs.

It is countryswide thing and not just Lahore and not just against Pakhtoons.

I think you should refrain from saying "Afghan" and instead use the term "Afghanistani" or "Afghan citizens" because Pak Pashtuns also identify as Afghan ethnically and are emotionally connect to that word and KPK was originally called Afghania hence the A in "Pakistan", so that way we can avoid inciting ethnic hatred
