The Bengalis are not going back. There is no option but to legalise them. But it should be a process of giving them permanent residency instead of handing over the passport.

I wouldn't mind a point system though like we have in Australia.

Points for being a tax payer.

Points for learning Urdu, Punjabi, Pushtu, Sindhi, Balochi.

Points for having a university degree.

Points for giving employment to more than 5 Pakistani citizens.

I am not against the idea of giving citizenship to Bengalis and Burmese (yes, there is a good population of Burmese living in Karachi).

Afghanis... very risky..

I understand that the root of street crimes is with the illegals, and I agree that when illegals aren't absorbed into a society, they turn to violence and crimes.. they have to eat and live as well.. and without citizenship, they can't get good education and jobs..

Afghanis only, I don't like.. their country is now not a war zone and they should return to their homeland..

If Pakistan return all these illegal Bangalies then those Baharies who stuck in Bangladesh will face more Bangaldeshi govt wrath...Those poors Baharies already in problem . Afghan has to go back, or they leave there fvcking arrogance up in there arse .... Jailed them and kick them out .

But giving them citizenship is a joke. It will create another anti-state vote bank. Large numbers of them already have passports, PTM draw support from this section. Piece of paper didn't change anything for better.

If Pakistan want to remain in perpetual civil war like is the case in Afghanistan then go ahead. Karachi was peaceful before these afghanis came.

admirable too.

But we are not a strong economy and he should first take steps towards that before tending to such trivial matters like legalisation of alien citizens born on Pakistani soil.
